According to the U.S. Travel Association (USTA) 55 percent of Americans will leave two full vacation days unused. Most times, these days don’t rollover and can’t be used later. By doing so, Americans lost 658 million days, and around $61.4 billion in benefits, according the the study.
Julie Saupe with Visit Anchorage joined Daybreak on the couch to discuss that trend, and how to potentially spend those days here in Alaska instead.
Statistics from USTA showed there was a 13 percent increase in the “happiness scale” over those that planned and those that did not.
