An arrest warrant was issued for 22-year-old Gregory Fort, who faces two assault charges in connection with the case.
ANCHORAGE – Police are asking for public help locating the man they believe is responsible for a shooting at an East Anchorage house party Saturday morning.
An arrest warrant was issued for 22-year-old Gregory Fort, who faces two assault charges in connection with the case. According to the Anchorage Police Department, Fort became combative when asked to leave the party on the 2600 block of Easthaven Circle. Police said Fort called a friend, who “brandished a gun while making verbal threats” when he arrived at the residence.
Fort took the gun from his friend, police said, and fired “multiple shots” into a crowd of people inside the home. A 20-year-old male and 19-year-old female were injured in the shooting.
When police responded to the residence around 4 a.m. Saturday, Fort had fled. His whereabout are currently unknown, and APD asks anyone with information to call police dispatch at 786-8900 or leave an anonymous tip at anchoragecrimestoppers.com
