September ushers in the season of giving back; Phil Crawford with 907 Life gives his top three-picks for fun events this month.

Arctic Entries: Season 10

"For anyone that's not familiar with Arctic Entries, perfect opportunity to get introduced," Crawford said. "Seven storytellers get seven minutes to tell stories based on the theme, but they're all personal. Some are funny, some sad, some outrageous."

Arctic Entries is at the Performing Arts Center on the second Tuesday of the month. Proceeds made from the event ticket sales go to a non-profit partner. Crawford said last year the group raised $47,000.

Hunger Action Month: Dine Out Against Hunger

"In Alaska, there's one in seven Alaskans that suffer from food insecurity," Crawford said. "That doesn't necessarily mean they're out on the street, that means they just don't have something to eat for a week, for a day, for a month."

The Food Bank of Alaska's "Dine Out Against Hunger Campaign" is meant to bring awareness and raise money. Participants will visit certain restaurants and a portion of those proceeds will go to the Food Bank of Alaska. Learn more about the campaign, here

Pirate Pub Crawl

"Thousands and thousands of people participate downtown," Crawford said. "Large proceeds go to the Blood Bank of Alaska and it's just good fun.

The pub crawl is September 15 and Alaska Airlines is giving out 80,000 airline miles. Learn more about it, here.
