This weekend Anchorage is going to the dogs for the annual Dog Jog.

To help you and your dog stretch and be ready to go there will be doga -- or "dog yoga."

The fundraiser is the 24th annual Dog Jog, hosted by Friends of Pets in Anchorage, to raise money for spay and neuter programs in the area.

This year they are adding some "pawmaste" to the jog with dog yoga.

Keri Lord with the Mudra Muttz Doga studio says the event is great for the whole family.

"They have got a carnival, contests, we're doing the doga -- I know there's a lot of different demos going on too," Lord said. "It's a great event for getting out and getting with your dog, rain or shine. We're going to be there no matter what."

Lord is excited to bring dog yoga to the event.

"It's kind of a mix so that you can involve your dog in it as well," Lord said. "It's a great bonding experience and just some fun ways to exercise with your dog."

The event starts at 9 a.m. and goes till 1 p.m. at Service High School this Saturday, July 28. To sign up for the event you can go to friendsofpets.org.
