37-year old Justin Saunders was arrested after leading police on a chase inside a restaurant.

Police say they were called out to the Chevron gas station at 5210 Old Seward Highway on Thursday night just before midnight. They found a cab driver who had been bitten and hit in the face with bolt cutters by a customer who fled on foot.

While interviewing the cab driver dispatch got a call from employees of the Peanut Farm across the street at 5227 Old Seward Highway, reporting a man with bolt cutters ran inside and was hiding in the bathroom.

When officers got there, the suspect, Saunders ran from the bathroom and through the restaurant, refusing to stop. Police say he ran into the kitchen where he ran into a wall and fell.

He was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries before going to jail. Police say Saunders was uncooperative with them and spit in one officer's face.

Saunders faces multiple charges including Assault 2, Assault 3 and Assault 4.
