A 19-year-old was arrested on multiple charges after authorities say he attempted to kidnap a boy who was on a bike ride in Eagle River Tuesday afternoon.

According to Anchorage Police, a 13-year-old boy was riding his bike on a trail along the Old Glenn Highway. When he came to an intersection on the trail that crosses Fire Lake Drive, he encountered 19-year-old Lor Lee who was walking in the area.

Lee told the boy he was looking for a missing child, APD said. The boy told Lee he hadn't seen anyone along the trail. Lee offered to give the boy a ride and the boy declined.

Lee then grabbed the boy's arm and told the boy to come with him or he would kill him. Lee then pulled out a knife. The boy punched Lee in the face and was able to get back on his bike and ride away. Lee chased the boy on foot before stopping near a parked vehicle. The boy was able to get the license plate of the vehicle.

Officers used information from the boy and responded to the home the vehicle was registered to-- located on the 16,500-block of the Old Glenn Highway. Police made contact with several people inside the home including Lee, who was identified as the suspect in the case and taken to the Anchorage Police Department for questioning.

Lee was arrested and placed in jail on charges of kidnapping and assault in the third-degree.
