Scottish culture and tradition took center stage on Saturday at the Alaska State Fairgrounds in Palmer.

Hundreds of people came out to see men and women show off their feats of strength and skill in the Alaska Scottish Highland Games. The scene was set against the musical backdrop of bagpipes.

This year, the women were the stars of the show. Six professionals competed in the ladies' elite class.
