Jessica Michelle Singleton's debut comedy album, which was recorded in Anchorage, shot to number one on iTunes last year, and she returns to Anchorage for a one-night-only performance.

"I have been touring non-stop, performing at the comedy store with crazy, huge comedians," Jessica said on KTVA's Daybreak. "I'm working on a new show that will premier at the Fringe Festival in Scotland... about a 10-day silent meditation I did called, 'Co-Dependent Arising'. The whole show is about me losing my mind while trying to be silent."

The new material comes as Jessica has been working hard on her craft, and evolving as a comedian. She says putting herself out there while on stage requires thick skin.

"It takes getting used to," Singleton added. "But I have gotten better at just being overly honest and vulnerable."

You can catch Jessica Michelle Singleton on Wednesday, June 6, 8 p.m. at Koots. Admission is $10.
