Anchorage Police have recovered one of two vehicles believe to be involved in a Fairview shooting Monday afternoon which left a toddler injured. 

Police said Tuesday that a red Dodge Ram pickup truck, one of two from which occupants were reportedly exchanging gunfire, was found on the southeast side of town, off Dowling Road, Monday night.

Officers were called to Fairview, near the 700 block of East 11th Avenue, around 4 p.m. Monday.

APD spokesperson Renee Oistad says one person was shot.

A family member says the victim is a toddler, a girl, who was rushed to the emergency room. She was reportedly listed as stable.

Oistad says APD's initial investigation showed that at least one bullet traveled into a residence a struck a female in the living room with other family members.

Neighbors report hearing more than half a dozen gunshots and tires screeching at the time of the incident.
