Bikers trek through the rain for Hike to Work Day
Hundreds of bikers made it through the rain Friday morning for the annual Bike to Work Day.
Even our own Daybreak team biked to work, stopping at all the stations along the way.
Friday, there were 50 stop stations with treats including bacon, waffles, reflective gear, hula-hoops, and bike fix-it stations scattered around town.
Anchorage bike to work day is a local celebration of the national event initiated in 1965 by the League of American Bicyclists.
Each May, Bike to Work Day is a celebration of community and health. Last year there were more than 4000 people who participated.
