Anchorage Police say the missing 77-year-old woman with dementia safe has been found safe.

Helena McClusky was last seen at a luncheon Tuesday afternoon at the Alaska Native Medical Center, according to a statement from APD.

"McClusky did not return to her assisted living home and she has not been seen since," APD wrote.

Police say she likes to hang out in downtown and search efforts by family members have been unsuccessful.

APD released a Nixle alert at 2:34 p.m. on Tuesday stating McClusky was found safe.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the non-emergency Police Dispatch line by dialing 3-1-1 (option #1).
