This week is National Travel and Tourism week -- to celebrate on this Travel Tuesday, Visit Anchorage wants to help you with your summer bucket list.

The Frontline Trade Show is an event dedicated to local food and lodging, giving you all you need to know when you're planning an Alaskan adventure for your friends and family from out of state.

Julie Saupe, president of Visit Anchorage, joined Daybreak to discuss the event.

Saupe described it as:

"An opportunity to prepare our city for about a million house guests coming. Buying decisions are driven by emotion and how you feel during that process, and so we want to make sure that the city is ready to welcome those visitors and make sure that they're having a great experience in our town."

The Frontline Trade Show will feature more than 80 vendors who will be representing anything from backcountry adventures to specialized tours, which can help get you in the loop on some of the exciting opportunities in Alaska for the summer.

Every vendor is also bringing a door prize of at least a $100 value and everyone can enter to win them all.

The Frontline Trade Show is Thursday, May 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Dena'ina Center. The event is free and open to the public.
