Someone broke into the renowned Salty Dawg Saloon over the weekend. 

Homer Police Chief Mark Robl says overnight Saturday, at least one suspect broke-in to the Salty Dawg Saloon on the Homer Spit. 

The suspect(s) forced their way into the building and stole an undisclosed amount of money from the safe.

Chief Robl says the only damage was at the point of entry, and Robl wouldn't comment on the manner in which the safe was accessed. 

No other items were taken in the burglary.
