A report of a suspicious person prompted a large police response to Valley of the Moon Park Monday morning.

Around 8:15, Anchorage Police announced the police presence, asking residents to avoid the area. 

By 9:25, police determined the report of the suspicious person was unfounded, leading officers to break their perimeter and clear the park. 

No roads were closed as a result of the incident.
