The “person of interest” sought in a fatal Spenard shooting earlier this week has turned himself in to Anchorage police.

Thomas Horton, 23, was “questioned, arrested and transported to jail” Wednesday night on a weapons-misconduct charge as a felon in possession of a weapon, according to an APD statement Thursday morning.

Police have been investigating the Monday death of 36-year-old Tyshaun Gray, who was shot at a home on Chugach Way.

“He could face additional charges,” police wrote.

Police said Friday that investigators have spoken with Cassandra Pitka, one of several witnesses sought in the case. They are still hoping to speak with one more witness, a man who was at the scene, but haven't released any description of him.

Police ask anyone with information on the witnesses to call APD at 311 or contact Anchorage Crime Stoppers at 907-561-STOP or through its website.
