Ero Victor Walli, 46, was arrested on multiple criminal charges after witnesses say he struck 31-year-old Chellsie Ruby Marie Hoffman with his pickup truck then fled the scene, according to a release from Valdez Police.

Around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, police were called to the Boardroom Bar located on Chitna Drive in reference to a hit-and-run. Upon arrival, officers attempted life-saving procedures on Hoffman, however, she ended up being rushed to Providence Valdez Hospital where she was pronounced dead an hour later.

Witnesses told police Walli was driving a green 2017 Dodge Ram 2500. Officers were able to track down both Walli and his truck at his residence located Falcon Street.  He was arrested and taken to the Valdez Jail where he also gave a breathalyzer test showing his blood alcohol content was at .305 -- nearly four times over the legal limit.

Walli faces charges of manslaughter, DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.

At his arraignment Monday, Walli's bond was set at a total of $100,000. Should bail be posted, conditions of release include electronic monitoring and house arrest.
