Dogs take on Spring Fever Flyball Fest this weekend
This weekend is going to the dogs as their speed and agility will be shown off at the tenth annual Spring Fever Flyball Fest here in Anchorage.
What is Flyball?
Flyball is a fast-paced exciting sport with teams of four dogs competing in relay races. Each dog jumps over four hurdles spaced 10 feet apart, catches a ball from a spring-loaded box and returns over the hurdles with the ball. The first team of four dogs to complete the course without errors wins the heat.
The competition is April 7 and 8 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Alyeska Canine Trainers located at 549 W. International Airport Rd, Anchorage, AK.
The event is open and free to the public.
