A Big Lake man who Alaska State Troopers say stabbed a family member multiple times then pulled a knife on officers was tased and arrested Monday night.

According to AST's online dispatch, 42-year-old Archie MacNeven was arrested on multiple charges including assault in the first-degree, assault in the second-degree and assault in the third-degree on a peace officer, following the altercation.

Troopers say they responded to a residence located on Goldstreak Drive in Big Lake for an alleged stabbing, just before 8:30. When they arrived, MacNeven "brandished a knife and pointed it at the Troopers." He was arrested after troopers deployed a taser on him.

The family member was rushed to the Mat-Su Regional Hospital with serious injuries. However, they are expected to live, according to troopers.

MacNeven is being held at Mat-Su Pre-Trial without bail.
