Anchorage police are again asking the public to help them track down a domestic-violence suspect.

Police are looking for 29-year-old Dion Forrest Carter. They say in January Carter threatened his father, who tried to call police for help.

At that point, according to APD, Carter grabbed the phone, hit his dad in the face and then broke the phone. Police say the victim then left and called police from another home.

Police say Carter left the home before police arrived and haven't been able to find him. An arrest warrant has been issued for Carter on charges of assault and interfering with the report of a domestic-violence crime.

Carter has other outstanding warrants, including one from an incident last year in which Carter threatened to kill his father and damage his dad's car. Police say Carter also has warrants for failing to appear on a car theft charge along with a drug charge.

Anyone with information about Carter's whereabouts is asked to call police dispatch at 786-8900 (Press "0" to speak with an operator).
