A sport-utility vehicle stolen from a Wasilla home was spotted a day later according to Alaska State Troopers, who arrested its sole sleeping occupant.

Troopers said in an online dispatch Wednesday that the SUV, a 2004 GMC Denali Yukon, was taken Monday morning from the vicinity of East Palmdale Drive. Just before 9 p.m. Tuesday, troopers were told the Yukon had been spotted at a home off Alvin’s Alley in Wasilla.

“Troopers located Cody Killerbrew, age 28 of Wasilla, who was asleep in the back of the Yukon,” troopers wrote.

Killerbrew was taken to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility, where he was held on charges of second-degree theft, as well as an outstanding warrant for violating his parole in a previous theft and burglary case.
