Teen arrested at Houston High over ex’s harassment
A 17-year-old suspect has been taken into custody in Houston by Alaska State Troopers, after a local high-school student reported a harassment case involving him.
Troopers were told just before 2:30 p.m. Friday that a 16-year-old girl had called in a report that “she had been harassed and assaulted by a former boyfriend at Houston High School,” according to an online dispatch.
“Investigation revealed a 17-year-old male had called her over 300 times and texted over 90 times in one day and when she didn't respond had located her outside at the buses and assaulted her,” troopers wrote. “The male subsequently struggled with responding school staff and attempted to continue the assault.”
Troopers took the teen to the Mat-Su Youth Facility, where he was held on charges of second-degree harassment, fourth-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
