Anchorage police say they are investigating an early-morning shooting in west Anchorage that sent a man to the hospital with serious injuries. 

According to APD spokesperson Renee Oistad, police responded to the 8900-block of Woodstock Circle at 5:03 a.m. in reference to a reported shooting. At the residence, officers found indications that shots were fired inside and outside the home. 

"Upon arrival police made contact with at least two adults inside the home; a male was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries," Oistad wrote in a Nixle Sunday morning. "The other occupant was unharmed."

According to witnesses, the "suspect(s)" left the scene in a sedan, Oistad added. 

No other details were made available including suspect information. Oistad said more information will be available once everything is confirmed.
