AFD responded to McGinley's Pub around 6 p.m. after receiving a call about a fire. When crews arrived, they quickly evacuated the building to make sure the fire wasn't spreading.

"It's a large structure, there's lots of places the fire could hide," said AFD firefighter Dein Bruce.

Dein said the fire was contained within 20 minutes.

The fire started in the kitchen and the hood fan stopped working, according to AFD. The actual cause of the fire and the extent of the damages are unknown at this time.

"Sounds like there's a moderate amount of damage to the kitchen, but we won't really know until we're all done," Bruce said.

Everyone who was inside when the fire started got out safely and no injuries were reported.
