Alaska State Troopers say a well-known business in Talkeetna was vandalized Monday morning and hope the public can help them find out who caused the damages.

According to AST's online dispatch, troopers received a call around 7:43 a.m. about reported damages at the Nagley's General Store.

"Investigation revealed sometime during the night someone used a cigarette butt canister and broke the Nagley’s General Store window and damaged the wooden seat that sat outside the store," troopers say.

Damages are estimated to be around $250.

Nagley's General Store was the home of the late Stubbs -- Talkeetna’s honorary cat mayor beloved by Alaskans and tourists alike.

Anyone with information on the vandalism is asked to contact Palmer AST at 907-745-2131.
