The Anchorage Museum is hosting two events as part of its Curated Conversation series, this time focusing on indigenous women in activism.

The conversation will focus on the relationship between indigenous Alaskan women and their connections to the activists who stood for Standing Rock. Women who traveled to protest at Standing Rock will also be present. There will also be a screening of a movie called, "Awake: A Dream from Standing Rock" which will be shown immediately following the presentation.

Curated Conversation: Indigenous Women in Activism will take place on Friday, Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. inside the Anchorage Museum. Directly following that at 7 p.m. will be the screening of "Awake: A Dream from Standing Rock".
