Alaska State Troopers say they have arrested a 20-year-old Fairbanks man after receiving a report of an armed robbery Saturday morning.

Troopers say, just before 10 a.m., a caller reported being held at gunpoint while sitting in his vehicle; then ordered to give up his wallet.

"[the victim] was then removed from the vehicle with the gun pointed at him and he ran away as a shot was fired," the online AST dispatch said.

The victim got away uninjured and was able to give troopers suspect information, including a description of his vehicle.

Based on that information, troopers later found the vehicle and the suspect who they identified as Ethan Wiehl-Ortiz. He was then arrested and remanded at the Fairbanks Correctional Center.
