Anchorage businesses report armed robberies Saturday
Within a period of just over three hours, two Anchorage businesses report being robbed at gunpoint Saturday afternoon.
An Anchorage Police dispatch supervisor confirms the first call for a robbery came in at 1:03 p.m. Saturday.
Planet X, a tobacco shop in Spenard, says a male suspect walked in, brandished a gun, and robbed the business. An employee posted surveillance photos on Facebook, in the hopes someone will recognize the man wearing a hoodie, sunglasses, and covering the lower half of his face.
"I feel like it's an identifiable picture to somebody," a Planet X employee said, "He wears that [hoodie] all the time probably."
The APD case number for the Planet X robbery is 18-7111.
APD confirms a second robbery call from a coffee shop at 4:15 p.m. Saturday.
Bikini Babes AK shared photos and videos on Facebook of two suspects robbing their Boniface Parkway location saying:
"WE’VE BEEN ROBBED AGAIN!
Posting pictures and VIDEOS in hopes someone will recognize these two!
We apologize for the early close at boniface, but we need your help identifying these pansies!

An APD spokesperson says while the cases and suspect descriptions have multiple similarities, they're currently conducting two separate investigations.
