In a cruel twist of fate, Rosie Mancari's Olympics are over before they ever began.

According to the Team USA website, the Anchorage native was injured in a training run on Tuesday hurting both ankles. She was examined at a local hospital and released. She was to compete in snowboardcross Friday.

This was the 24-year-old's first Olympics. She started racing on the World Cup circuit three years ago and this past season had three top 15 finishes.
