Alaska State Troopers have filed charges against two Petersburg teens who they say intentionally struck a couple of Sitka Black Tail deer and then laughed about it.

Last Wednesday, troopers began investigating reports that 17-year-old Sebastian Davis intentionally struck deer on Wrangell Avenue two days prior. Troopers say video posted to social media prompted resident concern.

In the very short video, which is taken from inside of a vehicle, a Sitka Black Tail deer is seen standing firmly in the roadway as the vehicle approaches; there's a thud once the deer is out of view and then laughter erupts inside the vehicle.

Wildlife Troopers believe two deer in total were struck by the vehicle, though no deceased animals were located, according to Trooper Dispatch.

Sebastian, along with passenger Jasimine Ohmer, 17, of Petersburg, who troopers say filmed the video, are each charged with misdemeanor harassment of game. Sebastian is further charged with reckless driving.

The arraignment for both suspects is scheduled for February 26.
