A resident in south Anchorage found the body of a man who went missing in November.

Anchorage Police spokesperson Nora Morse says the body of Joe Orand was found near the intersection of Old Seward and Dowling on Wednesday afternoon.

Morse says there doesn't appear to be anything suspicious surrounding Orand's death but the Medical Examiner's Office has not yet returned results of the autopsy.

Orand went missing on November 19 after being admitted to Providence Alaska Medical Center for a bipolar episode. He left the hospital in a cab but jumped from the vehicle at the intersection of Tudor and Checkmate, east of the Alaska Native Medical Center.
