Anchorage Police say one person died late Thursday in a wrong-way collision on the Glenn Highway.

Just after 11 Thursday night, APD received a report of a four-door sedan with its headlights off traveling the wrong way outbound on the Glenn Highway near the Birchwood Road exit.

MJ Thim, APD spokesperson, says the driver of the sedan, 28-year-old David Boots, struck a pickup truck head-on, then struck another car.

The adult passengers of the pickup, one male and one female, were taken to the hospital with injuries said to be non-life-threatening, while the three adult males inside the car were not injured.

The fatal crash left the inbound lanes of the Glenn Highway at Birchwood Road closed until about 4:30 Friday morning.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
