A Juneau woman was medevaced to a Seattle hospital after police say a pickup struck her Tuesday night. 

JPD said just after 7 p.m., a caller reported that a pedestrian was hit by a truck on Glacier Highway and Alaway Avenue. Officers identified the pedestrian as a 54-year-old female from Juneau. Officials say she was rushed to the hospital due to the serious injuries she sustained in the collision. Later on, she was medevaced to the Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.

The driver of the 2008 Ford pickup was identified as a 59-year-old Juneau resident. JPD says he is not suspected of being impaired. 

No word on if any charges were filed. 

The investigation is ongoing.
