A 20-year-old man has been arrested by Alaska State Troopers, who say he stabbed and gravely injured another man Friday afternoon in Southeast Alaska.

Word of the stabbing in Hydaburg, involving suspect Justice Peele, reached troopers on Prince of Wales Island at about 4:30 p.m. Friday according to an online dispatch.

“Investigation revealed [Peele] had stabbed an adult male victim multiple times with a knife,” troopers wrote. “The victim was transported by [the U.S. Coast Guard] to Sitka before being transported to Seattle with serious injuries.”

Troopers took Peele to the Craig Jail, where he was initially held on $1,500 bail.
