A Hydaburg man was arrested at his home Saturday afternoon after Alaska State Troopers say he attempted to sexually exploit another person.

According to trooper's online dispatch, on April 21, 2017, Prince of Wales AST received a report of an attempted extortion. 

"The investigation revealed Eric Adams, age 32 of Hydaburg, attempted to sexually exploit another by obtaining items of a sexual nature by threatening to expose confidential information, commonly referred to as “Sextortion”, troopers wrote. 

A Grand Jury indicted him on one count of attempted extortion and issued an arrest warrant on Thursday. Saturday afternoon, troopers found Adams at his home in Hydaburg where he was arrested and held on $1,000 bail. 

No other details have been released including the identity of the other person or if Adams made bail.
