On this Travel Tuesday, we are taking a look at Delta Airlines' recent crackdown on bringing service animals onto a flight.

Delta Airlines carries about 250,000 animals on flights annually and says bad behaviors like the animals biting and urinating on flights has increased 84 percent over the past year.

This has prompted the airline to require strict guidelines for animals.

These include:

  • A signed document saying the animal has been trained to behave.
  • A letter saying the animal is vaccinated and in good health.
  • If it's a service animal, a signed letter from a health care professional is required 48 hours before a flight.
