An Anchorage man and his passenger were arrested after an officer spotted them an a stolen vehicle Saturday afternoon, according to authorities.

Anchorage Police spokesperson Renee Oistad said 33-year-old Kennedy Tali and passenger, 26-year-old Margaret Wetherington, were found inside a stolen 1999 red Honda that was parked in front of the Arctic Turn Inn.

"The Honda had been stolen during the burglary of a home on the 9900-block of Conifer Street on December 31, 2017," Oistad said.

The two were taken into custody without incident.

Tali was charged with vehicle theft in the first-degree, criminal trespass in the second-degree and theft in the second-degree. Wetherington was charged with fifth-degree criminal mischief-- riding in a stolen vehicle.
