With controversy, this year in Alaska and across the nation over sexual misconduct by men toward women, the Anchorage Women's Commission says more Alaska women are showing interest in running for office -- as they are across the country.  

A panel of female officials hopes to encourage them by offering insights into the risks and rewards of public service at an event hosted by Commission Monday. 

On KTVA's First Take at Five, Tiffany Hall, a member of the commission, previews some of the issues facing women when deciding whether to run. Hall shares her own thoughts about launching a bid for office.
