Juneau police say a man was stabbed several times during a Friday night fight, the state capital's second stabbing in two days.

Officers responded to a 911 call reporting the stabbing, on the 3400 block of Foster Avenue on Douglas Island, shortly after 8:30 p.m. according to a JPD statement. Responding officers found that a verbal argument at a nearby home, involving the victim and a neighbor, “might have become physical.”

“The neighbor's boyfriend and the victim engaged in a physical confrontation when the victim was stabbed several times,” police wrote. “There were reports of a gun and knives being involved in the incident, which were recovered by police at the neighbor’s residence.”

The 37-year-old victim was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital after he reported “being stabbed multiple times in the back, head, arms and abdomen,” police wrote. None of his wounds appeared to be life-threatening.

The case remained under investigation Saturday, police said, with no arrests immediately made in the case.

Earlier on Friday, police arrested 39-year-old Lucas Schneider, the suspect in a downtown stabbing Thursday night.
