Police have arrested one man in connection with two shootings on New Year's Eve.

Around 11 a.m., Anchorage Police were notified of shots fired in the 1000 block of West 26th Avenue. While officers were responding to that scene, they were notified of more shots fired in a parking lot in the 1200 block of West Northern Lights Boulevard. Police say the suspect description in both instances was the same.

Police say Bryan Cabuyadao fired a shot at an occupied vehicle before fleeing on foot.

Cabuyadao was taken into custody without incident.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators are working to determine if Sunday's shootings are connected to a shots fired incident in the same parking lot on December 14.
