Woman wounded in early-morning Anchorage shooting
Anchorage police say a shooting early Saturday left a woman severely wounded, with few details immediately available about the encounter.
An APD statement said officers responded just before 3 a.m. to a report of shots fired near the 100 block of Oklahoma Street, finding “multiple shell casings” at the scene.
“At 3:13 a.m. an adult female arrived at a local hospital with life-threatening gunshot wounds,” police wrote. “Multiple witnesses were with the female and were questioned by APD.”
No suspect information was initially available.
