KTVA Sports' Dave Goldman was part of the crew "Freezin' for a Reason" on Saturday at Goose Lake in Anchorage. The annual Polar Plunge is a fundraiser for Special Olympics Alaska.

Hundreds of Alaskans participated, including U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski, Anchorage Mayor Ethan Berkowitz and KTVA 11 news personalities.

With temperatures around 30 degrees and the water of Goose Lake even colder, it was a freezing experience for those that jumped. "Freezin' for a Reason," a true showing of community support for Special Olympics athletes.
