Anchorage Police are looking for a suspect who fired a gun at a woman in the Midtown REI parking lot Thursday afternoon.

APD spokesperson MJ Thim said just before 1:30 p.m., there was a fight between a man and a woman in the REI parking lot located at 12000 West Northern Lights Boulevard. During the fight, the man pulled out a gun and fired at the woman, who walked off; got into a vehicle, which then drove off.

"There is no indication at this time of a shooting victim," Thim said. "Officers are currently searching for the adult male."

The male is described as a white or light-skinned black male who is 5-foot-6 with black hair. He was wearing a large black winter coat with a gray hood.

He was last seen walking on Spenard Road in front of Northrim Bank -- headed towards Koot's. Thim said officers would like to talk to him about the shooting.
