Enjoy the season while making a difference with the Alaska Festival of Trees.

The family-friendly festival raises awareness for victims of human trafficking, as well as foster children aging out of foster care, who overwhelmingly make up those who become victims of trafficking, which has become Alaska's second fastest growing crime.

The organizations Priceless Alaska and Chosen Alaska are putting on the event, with proceeds going to benefit those vulnerable Alaskans.

Ten designer trees will be featured at The Dimond Mall until December 17, and you purchase a raffle to win the presents that sit under one of them. These prizes range in value from $1,200 to $3,000. There will also be an eleventh "people's choice" tree, whose contents will be awarded to one lucky participant who wins the raffle.
