A Nunapitchuk man missing in the Bethel area since Thursday is being sought by Alaska State Troopers, who are asking anyone who has seen him to contact them.

According to a post on the Bethel Police Department’s Facebook page, troopers were informed just before 1:30 a.m. Thursday that 29-year-old Bennett Joseph had left his mother’s home.

“His direction of travel and destination were unknown at that time,” troopers wrote. “At about 3:55 p.m., the snowmachine Bennett was driving was located on a trail a few miles outside of Bethel. Bennett’s current location is unknown.”

Troopers said Joseph’s clothing when he was last seen included a black jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with word on Joseph’s whereabouts is asked to call troopers at 907-543-2294.
