Police say the woman who was sought in a shooting that left one person wounded inside a pickup truck parked in South Anchorage, turned herself into the Anchorage Jail on an unrelated charge Wednesday afternoon.

Anchorage Police Department spokesperson Renee Oistad said 31-year-old Allison Hendrickson was charged with assault, misconduct involving a weapon and reckless endangerment after she turned herself in for an outstanding warrant for a probation violation on a previous assault charge.

According to Oistad, a Dodge containing driver Peter Kozeroff Jr., another man and Hendrickson had been parked on the 9900 block of Tolsona Circle, off Victor Road near West 100th Avenue. In a shooting reported by a resident just before 8:15 p.m., a round fired within the truck struck the second man in the arm.

“That bullet also traveled into a nearby occupied home,” Oistad wrote in a statement. “No one inside the home was injured.”

Fifteen minutes later, police were told the pickup truck had side-swiped a Dodge Durango stopped in Dimond Boulevard’s eastbound lanes for a red light at Arctic Boulevard. None of the three people in the Durango was hurt, Oistad wrote, but Hendrickson got out of the pickup and walked away soon afterward.

The pickup continued on to a local hospital, where police were notified it had arrived at 8:34 p.m. The wounded man was treated and released for his injuries.

Kozeroff, 39, was questioned by police then arrested on charges of second-degree theft, operating under the influence, failing to register as a sex offender, leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a valid license.

“As of this time no charges have been filed in regards to the shooting which is still under investigation,” Oistad wrote. “Police have not yet made contact with the female who was in the truck when the shooting occurred.”

Oistad said the target of the shooting hadn’t yet been determined Wednesday afternoon, but the collision with the Durango appeared to be a random accident. She declined to discuss what if anything Kozeroff or the wounded man had told police.
