Fashion Friday: holiday outfits for the kids
Family Christmas cards and pictures with Santa are popular holiday traditions, and if you haven't planned yours yet there are three trends you can keep in mind while shopping for that perfect picture.
Plan to have matching or similar outfits. Ashlee Schneider, director of marking and business development for the Anchorage 5th Avenue Mall, says Nordstrom is a good one-stop shop to look similar color palettes and patterns for each age range.
Formal First Santa Visit
"When you dress up your kids, throw something easy in, a little sparkle or a cute bow tie," Schnieder said. She says Gymboree has outfits dedicated to infant holiday dress up, from sparkly dresses and shirts with cozy winter sweaters.
"This is easy to incorporate for a larger family," Schneider said. "You simply pick a color or a few different colors, but then you can mix and match items." JC Penney has matching family pajamas for all ages if you're looking for that picture perfect 'famjam' photo, Schnieder said.
