Tessa O'Hara has her path set. The Anchorage Christian senior will attend Division II Union College in Jackson, Tennessee, next fall.

O'Hara signed her national letter of intent at ACS in a ceremony shortly after 6 p.m. on Monday.

"I feel very overwhelmed with support. It's just a great feeling to know God has a plan for me right at Union," she said.

O'Hara, a KTVA scholar-athlete of the week honoree this fall, sports a 4.05 GPA. And, Union is getting one of the best runners in the state. Tessa placed third in this year's cross country state championship.

Her faith in God keeps her focused.

"That's where (Union) he wants me to be and that completely secures all my thoughts. Takes away all my nervousness and just makes me excited," she said.

O'Hara will study nursing.
