Anchorage Police say a man who evaded officers overnight was arrested after pulling into a fast food restaurant next door to an active crime scene.

Just before 3 a.m. Thursday, officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the 6200 block of Boundary Avenue on a red Chevy Blazer that was driving without headlights. APD spokesperson, MJ Thim, says the driver, 35-year-old Curtis Commack, refused to pull over and eluded officers.

Thim says the suspect vehicle was spotted several times throughout the night but Commack continued to evade officers.

At 5:30, Commack pulled into the McDonald's on Spenard Road, next door to where an APD stabbing investigation was underway, and was taken into custody.

Commack is charged with eluding.
