Anchorage police say they are investigating a shooting in west Anchorage that left a man with life-threatening injuries Wednesday night.

APD spokesperson MJ Thim said around 8:40 p.m. a caller reported a shooting in the 3900 block of Northwood Drive. When officers arrived, they found an adult male outside who was shot multiple times. He was then taken to the hospital. 

Based off of witness descriptions of the shooter, the Investigative Support Unit and K9 Unit helped find the suspect in the 3200 block of Iowa Street. 

The suspect was taken into custody for questioning, Thim said.
