Anchorage is Alaska's largest city but has trouble keeping up to demands regarding housing, especially when it comes to small-scale, affordable homes. These types of homes, Moira Gallagher, the director of Live, Work, Play at the Anchorage Economic Development Council, believes that this kind of home could bring in more young, working professionals and seniors into Anchorage.

"Housing is one of the first things you think about when you decide what kind of city you want to live in", said Gallagher.

Friday, there is a free First Friday event at the Anchorage Museum. It will showcase the potential housing projects through interactive displays and a guided video booth.
